Terms of use

These terms set the rules between you and the publisher of Glowbe (see the legal notice). By creating an account, you accept them. How we use your data is explained in the privacy policy. The French version of these terms is the reference version.

1. The service

Glowbe is a bucket list app: you write down your dreams, place them on a globe, keep a memory of the ones you have achieved, and share them, if you wish, with your loved ones or the community.

Glowbe is free. If paid options appear one day, they will be optional and clearly presented before any payment; what is free today will not become paid without you being told.

2. Your account

3. Your content

Your dreams, photos and notes remain yours. So that Glowbe can display them, you allow us to host, reproduce and show them, only in the app and on the website, and only to the people you have chosen (“Only me”, “My loved ones”, “Everyone”). For an “Everyone” memory, this permission also covers the showcase on the app's home screen, without your first name. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for what others have already taken with a “Me too!” (the dream's title, without your photo or note).

You only publish content you have the right to share. In particular:

4. Community rules

Glowbe must stay a kind place. It is forbidden to post:

You can report content to us at bonjour@glowbe.fr (and soon directly in the app). We may remove content that breaks these rules, and suspend or delete its author's account, explaining why unless the law prevents it. You can challenge this decision by writing to us.

5. Challenges

The challenges and ideas suggested by Glowbe are suggestions. You alone decide what you do: respect the law, your safety and that of others, and never put yourself in danger to achieve a dream.

6. Availability and liability

We do our best to keep Glowbe working well and your data backed up. The service may however be interrupted for maintenance or because of an outage, and we cannot guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. We can only be held liable for a fault on our part, within the limits set by law; nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer.

7. If Glowbe stops

If we had to shut Glowbe down, we would let you know at least 30 days in advance, so you can get your memories back.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If there is an important change, we will let you know in the app or by email before it applies. If you disagree, you can delete your account.

9. Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If you disagree with us, write to us first at bonjour@glowbe.fr: we will look for an amicable solution. Failing that, the French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the rules that protect consumers.
