Privacy policy

Your dreams belong to you. This page explains, without jargon, what data the Glowbe app and the glowbe.fr website use, why, where it is kept, for how long, and how you stay in control. It complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The French version of this policy is the reference version.

In short

  • No ads, no selling of data, no tracking or analytics tools.
  • Your dreams and photos are stored in France (Paris).
  • Other people only see your memories if you choose so.
  • The hidden GPS location in your photos is removed before upload.
  • You can delete your account and everything in it, at any time.

Who is responsible for your data?

Glowbe is published by Olivier Boulanger, an independent developer, as a private individual. He is the “data controller” within the meaning of the GDPR.

For any question about your data: bonjour@glowbe.fr.

What data, and why

Your account

Why: to create and keep your account (performance of the contract between us when you use Glowbe).

Your dreams and memories

Why: this is the service Glowbe provides (performance of the contract).

Phone permissions

The app asks for access to the camera and your photos only when you add a memory photo. You can refuse: the rest of the app still works. The microphone is never used. The app does not read your location: you choose the places yourself.

Security

Like any online service, our providers keep a few technical traces (IP address, login date, device type) to protect accounts against intrusions and abuse. Why: our legitimate interest in keeping Glowbe safe.

On your phone

The app keeps your session (so you stay signed in) and your language choice on your phone. Nothing else: no ads, no trackers.

The glowbe.fr website

This website uses no cookies and no analytics tools. Its fonts are hosted on the site itself. Its host, GitHub, records visitors' IP addresses for security reasons.
